Your money is no good here
Part of a collection of essays on TRUST by @futurepaul
The phrase โyour money is no good hereโ has two opposite meanings, the second likely an ironic riff on the first:
- We dislike or mistrust you so strongly that we will not transact with you.
- We like or trust you so strongly that we will serve you for free.
I think this is a nice illustration of how trust and โsocial capitalโ can impact real money: it can make โgood moneyโ unspendable, and it can make โgood moneyโ spend further.
